Philly Soul Now is proud to be a part of Sick Wit It, a free health and wellness symposium for creatives to be held at The Painted Bride on Saturday, December 16. This event was created by visionary creative Stephanie Renee and Walking Bear Management’s Tony Allen to have informative conversations about preventative care, holistic health and support for Philadelphia creatives in the wake of the many musicians who have passed away this year.
“Professional musicians are often underinsured or uninsured, which prompts them to delay physical care until the situation is critical or fatal. Having access under one roof to quality information about selecting and securing free or affordable insurance, preventative care, and holistic remedies is a vital opportunity” according to Sick Wit It’s organizers. “Soul Sanctuary and Walking Bear Management have teamed up to gather Philadelphia’s creative community for an intimate, real conversation about how we’re doing, to hear from holistic health experts about better habits and practices, and to take a moment to remember and grieve for the ones we’ve lost far too soon.”
Philly Soul Now Editor-In-Chief Toya Haynes will help lead the Moment of Remembrance segment that will pay tribute to the many talented artists that we have lost in 2023.
