Stacey Willson’s Flygirrl events are widely known to bring out the best: Best DJs, best crowd, best vibes, etc. No wonder she was called on to host Janet Jackson’s most recent birthday party at Broad Hall. Closing out the first official night of the Roots Picnic will be two simultaneous events at Broad Hall: an installment of the Philly Loves series, Philly Loves The Soulquarians (featuring music by the pioneering collective comprised of Erykah Badu, The Roots, Common, Mos Def, D’Angelo, Q-Tip, and Dilla) with DJs Mike Nyce and Rebel Foster. REC Philly is hosting Diggin’ Thru The Crates (DTTC) with special guest DJ and legendary producer Just Blaze. DJS DJ Alizay and DJ B-Sharp will also be running the decks. This event is free so be sure to RSVP here.

The Drip & Jam Fashion Exhibit brings fashion and music together in a rather unique way this weekend. This wardrobe themed event is described as a “curated experience featuring designer & art exhibits, live music, food, cocktails, DJ vibez in each room etc.” Live musical performances include TreWay & The Now Generation, Joshua Lang, DJ AMH, Champagne Shak and more.
