Philly Soul history wouldn’t be what it is without the female artists and industry leaders like singers Patti LaBelle and Phyllis Hyman, songwriter Linda Creed, and music industry pioneer and founder of Black Music Month Dyana Williams, who have paved the way for so many. Sunday, March 19th- The Greenlight Series at Silk City sponsored by Philly Soul Now
Produced by Stumble Media Group, LLC, the objective of the series is to highlight or “Greenlight” some of the best independent talent coming through Philadelphia and the surrounding areas right now, while giving audiences an immersive yet intimate experience.
Featured performances by Andrea Valle and Joie Kathos with opening acts SheRise and Jada Lee.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Why Not Prosper, a grassroots 501 C (3) organization founded by a formerly incarcerated woman for formerly incarcerated women. Their mission is to help women from prison systems discover their own strength by providing them with the support and resources that will empower them to become responsible, economically self-sufficient and contributing members of the community.
